Exeter Canal Boat Trip – 2022

On Monday whilst staying with my parents for a couple of days in Crediton, Devon, myself and my father we went on a boat trip up the canal in Exeter, the trip was superb and the scenery beautiful, the whole 50 minute trip was only £7 each.

Just to be clear, I am not paid by the boat company, I never told them I was going to write a review, however if you or they see this and you’d like to contact me, please do so.

Waiting to leave the pier
The captain at the first bridge of two, sadly these bridges require the two other crew members to manually go ashore and close / move the bridge into posistion to allow our boat to travel past.

An old fishing boat near another old wreck, were these once working boats on the Canal ?
The three crew members including the captain.

Its a great river cruise, and departs from the Exeter City side of the Canal and continues up the river past two manual swing bridges all the way to the pub – Double Locks. (1.5 miles each way, 3 miles in total).
