SONY RX100 MK3 – Is it Still Good In 2022

I have owned the SONY RX100 MK3 for a couple of years now, a few years back I also owned the original SONY RX100 and had equally impressive results. As you might be able to tell I am a fan of compact cameras and of course all cameras in general.
Over the years I have had the ownership of some splendid compact cameras including these.
SONY RX10, Fuji X100, Fuji X100S, Panasonic Lumix LX100, Fuji XF10 etc.
To date tho my compact camera line up is mostly SONY with a couple of exceptions including the mighty but small and able Pentax Q10 and DJI Osmo Pocket 2.
On this page I will show you some of my best images takes using the Sony RX100 MK3, a camera that is still available today.
Overall the Sony RX100 MK3 is a compact professional camera that offers me the photographer some fantastic features including.

- Small pop up flash, great for fill lighting ie portraiture
- WiFi – connects easily to my smartphone and iPad
- Full manual controls
- The ability to shoot RAW and JPEG at the same time
- Fast shutter release
- Eye AF
- Battery compatibles are extremely cheap as is an external USB battery charger
- Good low light performance
- Good video quality
- Large 1″ sensor
Overall the SONY RX100 3 is a compact camera that you might struggle with if like me you have large hands, however an optional grip can be purchased from Amazon that makes handling the camera that more easier.
The SONY RX100 3 can handle upto a 64GB memory card, also these can be found very cheaply online also.
